Richie (Ken Wahl) and Joey (John Friedrich) are best buddies and members of the same gang, The Wanderers. Richie is always after the ladies and Joey’s wise-cracking mouth always seems to get them in trouble. When it looks like a rival gang, The Baldies, are about to pummel Richie and Joey, a new kid, over six feet tall and plenty strong intervenes to save the two. Perry, (Tony Ganios) quickly makes friends with the other guys and joins the gang as well. Things go well until Despie (Toni Kalem) reveals to Richie she is pregnant. Richie will have to leave his carefree days of ‘wandering’, marry Despie and move in with her very Italian parents. But this doesn’t happen until a football game with a neighboring game happens. During the course of the game, the most feared gang of all, The Ducky Boys, Irish-Catholic psychopaths show up intending to do serious damage to all the other gangs there. The rival gangs unite to give the Ducky Boys a sound beating. Richie can marry Despie and Joey and Perry take to the road for a new adventure.
