Desperaux (Matthew Broderick)is a tiny mouse stuck in a town full of oppression. They tell Desperaux what to fear and how to fear it. He finds none of the world scary, but instead sees it all as an adventure. This gets the poor mouse excommunicated from his home for not conforming. Finding good in the world Desperaux tries to help a princess (Emma Watson) who sees the world through a veil. With rat kings plotting human revenge and servant girls dreaming of becoming princesses, this movie is captivating. When faced with adversity our tiny hero by the name of Desperaux proves to us now matter what your size it all comes down to heart.
