Set in New York City, the Warriors are one of hundreds of small, tough gangs that make their livings through petty crime while hounded by the police and each other. In order to focus their efforts on bigger pay offs, a visionary leader named Cyprus (Roger Hill), arranges a truce amongst all of the gangs in New York in order to bring them together under his leadership. When the Warriors attend a gathering of all the gangs, Cyprus is assasinated and all the Warriors are framed for the murder. Now it's up to the Warriors leader Swan (Michael Beck) to lead his gang as they fight their way from the Bronx to Coney Island and prove their innocence in the process.
