Kevin McAllister (Macaulay Culkin) is on his own again, this time in New York, after becoming separated from his family at the airport. As his family, not realizing Kevin is missing, heads on a vacation to Florida, Kevin checks into The Plaza in New York City, using his father's credit card. While exploring New York, Kevin befriends Mr. Duncan, the owner of a toy store. Unfortunately, Kevin is not the only person who has ended up in New York. Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), who tried to rob Kevin's home when he was left behind on a previous family vacation, are out of prison and in New York with plans to rob Mr. Duncan's toy store. Getting wind of their plans, Kevin, having beaten them the first time around, tries to foil their plans once again.
