Magic Collectors Program-2000-Baltimore Md-Tokens,Seal,Bookplate inserts-FINE---
This is the colorful and detailed program booklet for the Magic Collectors' Weekend, that took place in 2000, in Baltimore, Maryland. The Society of Osiris was the sponsoring organization. Filled with images of speakers, their subjects, shows, etc. . The amazing part is that they included inserts attached to some of the pages. The corporate seal of the Society of Osiris is on the Past Honored Guests page. The bookplate of Edgar Heyl is on page for Bill Kuethe's talk on The Heyls of Baltimore, and two aluminum Dantini magic tokens are on the page for McCarl Roberts talk, Dantini The Magnificent Revisited. One token appears to be MT-098 from the Kuethe book. This other appears to be a variant. Tokens are pasted down to the page. Text on the variant reverse is: "1978 / WORLD / PREMIER / WILLIAM / DONALD / SCHAEFER / MAYOR"

From Magicpedia, courtesy of Genii magazine:
The Society of Osiris Magicians formed officially on April 6, 1923 and incorporated in Maryland was founded by Thomas Worthington in March of 1924. It came about after Worthington, Louis E. Shilling and Charles Ziegler became disenchanted with the magic clubs of Baltimore, including the Demons Club , for admitting too many non-magicians. The Society created rigid rules to ensure only "magicians" would be accepted. Worthington, good friend, Howard Thurston, even thought the test was too hard. The first members included Herbert A. Davis, Louis V. Lane, Howard S. Jefferson, Frank M. Chapman, Walter B. Swindell Jr., C. P. Hammond, and J. Paul Heese. The officer's titles were derived from the ancient Egyptian Rites of Magic. Their early reports were published in the Sphinx. Al Snyder and Louis V. Lane published the Osirian for the organization out Charleston, West Virginia chapter (which as formed in 1924). It only lasted for 6 issues. Later, Worthington then started the Tablets of Osiris, which he published from 1929 until 1943.[1] The Society sponsored two junior clubs over the years, the Pyramid Magic Club and the Disciples of Osiris
