A collection of mirthful games, parlour pastimes, shadow plays, magic, conjuring, card tricks, chemical surprises, fireworks, forfeits, etc, Compiled and arranged by Frederick D'Arros Planche. Illustrated by George Cruikshank and others. Copyright date not indicated. Published by Porter & Coates, Philadelphia, 282 pages plus 6 pages of Porter and Coates book advertisements. Overall, in near fine condition with light surface, rubbing and edgewear to the exterior cover. Decorative Ornate cloth cover with gold gilt embossed design lists book title on the front and spine covers. Binding is tight to the spine. Interior pages are in near fine condition, very clean, sharp and crisp in character. No rips, tears or writing to interior pages. Only exception is previous owners name written on the front free endpage. A very interesting and collectible work, this would be a wonderful addition to your Antiquarian Magic book collection.
