Letter Head from Magician J.B. Bobo

J.B. Bobo worked as a close-up and kid-show stage magician since 1928, having given nearly 14,000 school assembly shows throughout the USA, but mainly in Texas and the central states. In 1947, he started to put many
of his magic ideas into books that earned him a worldwide reputation. Bobo also excelled as an artist, cartoonist,
photographer, cinematographer, and craftsman. He designed his own flyers and posters, and he made many of his own trick apparatus. Won the 1978 AMA Literary Fellowship. photographer, cinematographer, and craftsman. He designed his own flyers and posters, and he made many of his own trick apparatus. This item was purchased through the estate auction of Leola Wain, who performed with her husband Jack (the Mysterious La Wain)...

Jack Wain, performing as the Mysterious La Wain spent his life in Vaudeville, performing as a Magician and Ventriloquist. Jack and his wife Leola traveled throughout United States and Canada with the likes of Nicola and Howard Thurston. I believe during the 1940's and 1950's he performed in more local settings. After retiring, Jack set up a magic shop in his home.

Not sure why, but the body of the letter was cut away - and only this top part of the letter remains - displaying Bobo's logo. It dates from April 8, 1959, and measures 2 3/4" x 8 1/2" inches. In Excellent Condition, with expected wear.

This is an original period item, and NOT a reproduction or reprint.
